Dr. Noël is a Texas transplant. She grew up south of Seattle and completed her undergraduate training at Washington State University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She went on to pursue her medical training at the University of Washington School of Medicine. During this time time she was an Assistant Pediatric Program Director and then the Pediatric Clerkship Director at The University of Chicago and Inova Children’s Hospital, respectively. When her first child needed to see a Developmental – Behavioral Pediatrician in 2013, the wait list was 18 months long, so she decided to pursue her own training. She and her family moved to the suburbs of Houston, TX to complete an additional three-year training program in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. After fellowship training, she spent time directing the Pediatric Resident Rotation and was the Fellowship Program Director at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she continues to oversee fellows in clinic.
Noël Mensah-Bonsu, MD, is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both General Pediatrics and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Section of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (SODBP) and the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (SDBP), where she is the Education Committee Co-Chair.
